White Crane Spreads Its Wings

 

               

White Crane Spreads It's Wings 

 Turn body, rotate your arms, palms left turn up, right down, move back weight with

waist movement. Your arms go down circle. Close your arms into your

body. Pick up right leg, (glance left) step, your right toe pointing 45 degrees to corner.

Move weight to your right foot, body turning square (East) and knee

following toe. From here your right arm wards up above head, left arm

pushes down to waist height. At the same time pick up your

left leg and step out onto the ball of foot. Push forward slightly.


  

        

Step Forward Parry, Block & Punch

 

        

 * Footwork follows Centre Line slightly to side

stepping forward

 

 

First, move back your weight slightly to your rear left foot.

Pick up your left arm,then turn body, right arm follows turn, rotate your left palm upwards,

open your toe (this movement is the same as Right Brush Knee).

 

When you move your weight forward, the arms  go down circle together,

right hand makes a fist towards bottom. Left arm is rounded,

left palm sitting sholuder height.

 

Right toes step open to corner (S.E). Footwork follows centre line*

Continue to move weight forwards, waist and body turning, blocking out.

Left parm sitting aside your right fist / forearm.


 

 

     

* Foot steps out to traditional bow stance

 

 

Bow Stance 

Front foot pointing forwards, back foot at 45 degrees. Shoulder width.

Done left and right stance.

 

Waist and body turn towards your right, arms seperate and moving forwards step out

shoulder width.

 

Right fist sitting beside your hip, fingers up, left palm standing up, straight forward. Foot touches

ground when you open arms. Following body turning to square, knee follows toe of left leg.

Punch out. Right arm towards shoulder level.

 

Left palm curves in to meet side of your right foream. Energy point in front of fist.

Upper body lean forwards. Foot steps out to traditional bow stance* 

Gaze looking forward.
