"The following is a guide and offers information you may have missed in a group environment. It is not a memory test. If you have areas of discomfort these exercises can be used to suit. The basic idea is to stimulate and raise your spirits."

Wushu Greeting
Make a fist with the right hand, put it against the center of the left palm with the left thumb bent and the four other fingers of the left hand stretched, push the two hands forward with the palms facing those greeted, arms in an embracing position and shoulders dropped down.

Meaning
The aim is to show we come together with integrity and modesty, our fist covered and extending friendship

Chinese Exercises

NB Try to listen (=feel) the tingling in your fingers/hands as you preform the Qi Gong, this is a very similiar feeling to Qi circulation, but this feeling is for the whole body, not just the hands, however the hands are a good place to physically become familiar with the sensation. Stand relaxed hands one on top of other palms up.

Breathing

Though there are exceptions (for example if your nose is blocked) generally, you should breathe through the nose, with your tongue placed in a natural resting position against the upper teeth and palate, and your lips pressed lightly together.

If you feel uncomfortable breathe naturally. If you are experienced use your chosen breathing routine.
